RIB BOAT CRUISE TO THE HISTORICAL CANALS OF KUKONHARJU AND KÄYHKÄÄ

Welcome to a full-day excursion from Mikkeli to Puumala for a historical canal cruise! On this Saimaa cruise, you’ll explore the military canals built in the late 18th century by Russian General Alexander Suvorov. The cruise departs from Puumala Harbor, with a stop at Kukonharju to view the remains of the site and enjoy campfire coffee. You can join via the Hop On Hop Off bus from Mikkeli, Pistohiekka, or Sahanlahti—or directly at Puumala Harbor.

Cruise Route:

Puumala Harbor – Ummistonvesi – through Ristivesi – Käyhkää Canal – Kukonharju Canal – Puumala Harbor.

This full-day trip to Kukonharju an Käyhkää Canals operates on alternate Thursdays 3.7., 17., 31.7. ja 14.8.

Schedule:

9:00: Departure from Mikkeli Travel Center.

9:05: Departure from the charter bus stop at Mikkeli Market Square. The bus will stop at Pistohiekka, Pistocamp, and Sahanlahti en route to Puumala, arriving at 10:20 AM.

12:00: Start of the Käyhkää and Kukonharju Canal cruise aboard Rib Saimaa's rib boat.

~16:00: Return to Puumala Harbor.

17:15: Return journey by bus to Mikkeli. The bus stops at Sahanlahti and Pistohiekka as needed. Arrival in Mikkeli at ~6:45 PM.

Adults: €99 (minimum 4, maximum 11 participants).

Children (ages 4–16): €45.

Children under 3 years: Free of charge.
